Compressed Work Week (CWW) - Days & Nights Available Start Your Career in Electrical Assembly & Advanced Manufacturing Are you a trade school graduate, electrical program student, or hands-on learner interested in electrical assembly and high-tech manufacturing? This Entry-Level Electrical Assembly Technician role offers hands-on experience assembling, wiring, and testing electrical components and subassemblies in a cleanroom manufacturing environment. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with wiring, connectors, tools, and diagrams , and who want structured training, steady schedules, and a clear path to grow into senior technician or engineering support roles. What You'll Do Electrical Assembly & Wiring Assemble and wire electrical components and subassemblies following work instructions, wiring diagrams, and schematics Install connectors, cables, harnesses, sensors, and electrical hardware Perform soldering and crimping as required (training provided if needed) Ensure proper routing, labeling, and securement of wiring Testing & Inspection Perform basic electrical and functional testing using standard equipment Conduct continuity checks, visual inspections, and verification testing Identify, document, and report wiring defects or assembly errors Support repairs, rework, and corrective actions Quality & Process Discipline Follow all safety, ESD, cleanroom, and quality procedures Accurately document work completed and issues identified Participate in Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement activities Team Collaboration Work closely with other assembly technicians, leads, and engineers Learn best practices for electrical assembly and manufacturing Support production schedules and daily electrical build priorities Who This Role Is For This is an entry-level electrical assembly role , designed for candidates beginning their careers in electrical or electro-mechanical manufacturing. Required Skills Electrical or electro-mechanical aptitude Comfort working with hand tools and small components Ability to follow wiring diagrams, schematics, or detailed instructions Strong attention to detail and quality Willingness to learn and work in a cleanroom environment Nice-to-Have (Not Required) Electrical assembly or wiring experience Trade school, vocational, or technical electrical training Soldering, crimping, or cable assembly experience Experience using basic electrical test equipment (multimeter, continuity tester) Familiarity with ESD, Lean, or 5S environments Education High School Diploma or GED required Trade school, technical program, or associate degree preferred Electrical Technology Mechatronics Electronics Equivalent hands-on electrical assembly experience considered Training & Schedule Training Paid, hands-on electrical assembly training provided Initial training on 2nd or 3rd shift for ~4-6 weeks No cleanroom experience required Compressed Work Week - Night Shift 12-hour shifts: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM 15% night shift differential Built-in overtime CWW N1 Shift Week 1: Sunday-Tuesday Week 2: Sunday-Wednesday (every other Wednesday) CWW N2 Shift Week 1: Wednesday-Saturday Week 2: Thursday-Saturday (+ every other Wednesday) Work Environment Cleanroom manufacturing facility Standing, detailed, repetitive electrical assembly work Strong focus on precision, ESD control, and safety Professional, high-tech production setting Why Start Your Electrical Assembly Career Here Join one of Connecticut's top employers Gain hands-on experience in semiconductor electrical systems Structured training and mentoring Clear paths into senior Electrical Technician, Test, or Engineering Support roles Competitive pay with shift differential and overtime Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bridgeport, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
