Pay:
$14.00 - $17.00 per hour Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Machine OperatorJoin Our Client's Advanced Electronics Manufacturing Team Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SMT Machine Operator to support high-volume production of printed circuit boards (PCBs). This role is critical to ensuring efficient, high-quality assembly using surface mount technology in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. If you have hands-on experience with SMT equipment and take pride in precision and quality control, this is an excellent opportunity to grow within electronics manufacturing. Key Responsibilities Operate SMT pick-and-place machines to assemble PCBs accurately and efficiently Set up, program, and calibrate SMT equipment to meet production requirements Adjust machine parameters and troubleshoot technical issues to maintain output quality Inspect PCB assemblies to ensure compliance with IPC 610 standards Read and interpret schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings Perform soldering and minor repairs using hand tools and soldering stations Use measuring tools (calipers, ohmmeters, testing equipment) to verify placement and circuit integrity Maintain detailed documentation of production runs and quality checks Conduct routine machine maintenance to reduce downtime and ensure optimal performance Follow all safety and quality control procedures Qualifications Previous experience operating SMT machinery in a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of PCB assembly and surface mount technology processes Ability to read technical schematics and diagrams Experience with soldering, electrical troubleshooting, and electronic components Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools and measurement devices Familiarity with PLCs and automated systems (asset) Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced setting Why This Opportunity?
