VISION MT is a fast-paced and rapidly growing company looking to hire candidates of all experience levels to fabricate electrical and fiber optic cables and harnesses in our cable shop. We specialize in the manufacture of structural and electrical components to include avionic equipment racks and electrical cable assemblies for use in military and commercial aerospace applications. Electrical Cable and Harness Assembler 2-8 years of aircraft avionics/electrical related experience preferred. Knowledge of Navair spec 01-1-505 and
IPC 610/620
helpful. Knowledge of Military Fiber Optic cable fabrication and termination beneficial. Ability to use hand tools to perform basic wiring termination and assembly (i.e., wire striping, std ring terminals and stud build up, connector pins/sockets, splices/proper spacing, shield ferrule/sleeve (solder and crimp type), Quadrax contacts, standard coaxial connectors, and shielded twisted pair splicing, Emi shielded cables. Utilize hand tools to strip fiber wire, crimp, cure and polish fiber optic termini and connectors. Familiarity with various connector types including MIL-spec, circular and fiber optic.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness boards.
- Secure wires with cable ties, sleeving, and conduit.
Quality and Continuity test the terminated or installed cables and harnesses, including the use of multimeters, interferometers, VFL and
OTDR/IOLM.
Follow and complete work orders and instructions. Follow tool control and FOD guidelines. May be required to travel to offsite locations in support of delivery, installations, and modifications.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Attention to detail is a must.
- Must be available to work a standard weekly schedule with overtime as required.
- Security clearance a plus.
