Position Summary The Electrical Assembler Lead is responsible for providing hands-on leadership and advanced technical support within the Electrical Assembly area. This role oversees daily workflow, supports team training, ensures compliance with UL and company standards, and helps drive production efficiency and quality. The Electrical Assembler Lead performs complex wiring and testing tasks while serving as the primary technical resource for Electrical Assemblers. This position plays a critical role in ensuring builds are completed accurately, safely, and on schedule to meet customer specifications. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily direction and task assignments to Electrical Assemblers based on production priorities and delivery schedules.
  • Train and mentor team members on wiring standards, blueprint interpretation, UL requirements, and safe assembly practices.
  • Read, interpret, and follow schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, bills of materials (BOMs), and work instructions.
  • Oversee and perform complex wiring of control panels, enclosures, and electrical assemblies.
  • Ensure proper wire cutting, stripping, crimping, routing, labeling, and grounding per UL and company standards.
  • Conduct electrical testing and troubleshooting using multimeters and other diagnostic tools (110V-480V systems).
  • Verify completed builds prior to Quality inspection to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify product defects and implement corrective actions before escalation to supervision.
  • Maintain accurate job tracking and data entry within the M1 system.
  • Support cross-training between electrical and mechanical assembly as needed to maintain production flow.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, safety, and quality.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to resolve technical or production challenges.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while enforcing all safety policies and PPE requirements.
  • Meet daily and weekly production, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Work overtime and flexible shifts as required to meet customer demands. Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in electrical assembly or control panel manufacturing required.
  • Prior leadership or mentoring experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical components, wiring techniques, and UL standards (UL 508 experience preferred).
  • Experience with 1-phase and 3-phase electrical systems preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Skilled in use of hand tools, measuring instruments, and electrical testing equipment.
  • Basic computer skills and ERP system experience (M1 preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred to support communication with Spanish- speaking team members on the production floor.
  • Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented leadership attitude. Working Conditions
  • Air-conditioned manufacturing facility. Please note temperatures may still be warm due to machinery and powder-coating operations. Applicants must be able to work in warm warehouse conditions.
  • PPE (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, etc.) provided by the company. Physical Demands
  • Full range of motion with ability to kneel, bend, climb, lift, and handle materials.
  • Lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs.
