Summary:
The main function of an assembler is work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product. It is mainly mechanical with some minor electrical assembly i.e. wire harness to low voltage motor connection.Responsibilities:

Fits, aligns, calibrates, and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements; repairs units or products that have failed to meet requirements.
