Mechanical Assembler - Contract to Hire A growing manufacturer is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join its team in Suwanee, GA. This hands-on role focuses on building, testing, and refining complex electronic and electromechanical assemblies — using schematics, blueprints, and detailed work instructions to deliver products that meet exacting specifications. $22-25/hr DOE Responsibilities of the
Mechanical Assembler:
Solder cables to connectors and assemble through-hole and surface mount assemblies. Build complex mechanical and electromechanical assemblies using hand and power tools. Position, align, and fasten parts to assemblies, subassemblies, and frames. Connect cables, tubes, and wiring according to specifications. Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure they meet specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements. Perform basic functional and ICT testing. Read blueprints and specifications to determine parts and assembly sequences. Disassemble units to replace parts or prepare them for shipping. Support team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Qualifications of the
Mechanical Assembler:
High school diploma or GED. 1 year of experience in electronic assembly. Ability to follow circuit-cam and work instructions. Knowledge of mechanical assembly, material handling, and component and circuit interfaces at the subassembly level. Experience with lead and lead-free soldering applications. Familiarity with IPC 610 (Class 1, 2, and 3) and ESD practices. Ability to use common hand and power tools, including torque drivers, wrenches, and screwdrivers. Basic computer navigation skills. Soldering experience is preferred. Experience following standard operating procedures is preferred. Prior experience with electrical assembly, maintenance, or repair is preferred. Ability to frequently lift 15-50 pounds during an 8-hour shift. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Mechanical Assemblers Apply Today!
