POC Assembler - Naperville, IL 7AM-3:30PM
MONDAY-FRIDAY
$20/hr+ Job Description The POC Assembler plays a key role in fine, hands-on assembly within a clean, fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position involves following detailed written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision, performing precise assembly tasks, troubleshooting basic issues, and participating in technical discussions related to product and POC assembly processes. Responsibilities Perform fine hand assembly operations involving multiple tasks at low production volumes while maintaining high quality standards. Follow detailed written and verbal assembly instructions with precision to ensure products meet defined quality and control requirements. Adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment and shift between production work and new product development activities as needed. Operate hand presses, small machines, and machine/human interfaces safely and efficiently. Use basic troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve routine assembly issues and ensure smooth production flow. Read and interpret technical prints and follow control plans to perform accurate measurements and checks. Support cross-training initiatives by assisting in other areas of the plant when needed and contributing to a flexible team environment. Essential Skills Minimum of 6 months of assembly experience in a manufacturing or similar hands-on environment. Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Capability to perform fine hand assembly work and repetitive tasks for extended periods. Ability to stand and perform repetitive work for 8-10 hours per shift. Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve basic assembly and process issues. Ability to read technical prints and take basic measurements in alignment with control plans. Experience using hand tools and operating small machines or hand presses. Flexible attitude and willingness to be cross-trained and support multiple areas of the plant. Basic understanding of electrical assembly, wiring, and soldering processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in a cleanroom, lab, or controlled manufacturing environment is beneficial. Comfort participating in technical discussions related to product and assembly processes. Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining high quality and productivity. Interest in learning new technologies and processes, including fiber-related manufacturing. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a very clean, temperature-controlled manufacturing facility designed for comfort and consistency. All departments operate in dedicated lab or cleanroom areas, supporting high-quality, precision work. You will work around hand presses, small machines, and machine/human interfaces, performing standing and repetitive tasks for 8-10 hours per shift. The environment emphasizes organization, cleanliness, and adherence to structured processes, supporting both production and new product development activities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Naperville, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
