Full Job Description Location:
Indianapolis, IN (Park 100 area)
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30
PM Pay:
$18.50 (Temp to Hire)
Position Summary:
The Assembler I performs assembly of mechanical, electrical, and shipping components in accordance with customer, quality, and engineering specifications. This role requires familiarity with electrical systems, the ability to read blueprints, and safe operation of tools and equipment. The Assembler I may also operate machinery such as forklifts and other hand or power tools. Safety is a top priority in all activities.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Assemble components by following drawings, electrical/pneumatic schematics, work instructions, and verbal directions. Prepare fabrications for assembly (drilling, tapping, cleaning). Ensure quality by monitoring assembly, identifying problems, and reporting concerns. Operate assembly machines and tools with minimal assistance. Maintain records, checklists, and logbooks, including documentation of QC testing and maintenance. Prepare shipments and properly arrange units for delivery. Participate in Operational Excellence, Lean, and other process improvement initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities:
Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S principles. Operate and maintain forklifts as needed. Adhere to plant and corporate safety policies; participate in required safety training. Assist Technical Support Specialists and other departments as needed to meet business needs.
Education, Certificates, Licenses, & Experience:
High school diploma or GED required. Prior electrical experience strongly required Mechanical aptitude and/or previous machine operator experience.
Basic Skills & Requirements:
Ability to read, write, speak, and follow instructions in English. Ability to read measurements and use tools accurately. High degree of manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. Basic computer skills preferred. Knowledge of electronics preferred. #Indy
