Position Overview :
Responsible for supporting production by inspecting and verifying finished printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) for workmanship and completeness, performing touch-up and minor rework of small surface-mount components as needed, and documenting results to ensure product quality and reliability. In addition to assembly, you will perform functional testing and chip programming.
Job Requirements:

Finished Board Inspection (QC): Inspect completed PCBAs for workmanship, component placement/polarity, solder quality, and overall completeness using work instructions, checklists, and visual aids.
SMT Touch-Up & Minor Rework:
Perform precise touch-up of small SMT parts (e.g., resistors/capacitors/ diodes/ICs) including alignment correction and limited component replacement.
Defect Identification & Documentation:
Identify, document, and communicate defects and trends (e.g., missing/misaligned parts, solder bridges, lifted pads) and disposition boards per established procedures.
Process & Work Instruction Adherence:
Follow build documentation, QC criteria, and revision-controlled instructions; ensure proper ESD handling, labeling, and status of product throughout inspection and rework.
Functional Testing:
Run diagnostic tests on completed boards using multimeters, or automated test fixtures to verify electrical performance.
Chip Programming:
Load firmware onto microcontrollers using specialized programming hardware. Education and/or
Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required; technical training or electronics certification preferred.
QC/Inspection Experience:
2+ years of experience inspecting electronic assemblies/PCBAs, using workmanship criteria and checklists to identify defects.
SMT Touch-Up Skills:
Demonstrated ability to perform careful touch-up/rework on small SMT components and fine-pitch parts (lead-free experience preferred).
Documentation & Traceability:
Comfort working with basic computer tools to record inspection results, track board status, and interpret pass/fail outcomes where applicable. Attention to
Detail & Dexterity:
Strong hand-eye coordination for working with miniature components and consistently meeting workmanship standards. Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
Shift Schedule:
8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CST, Onsite - Monday through Friday
