Job Description
IRD LLC, a company affiliated with Krauth Electric Company, sells, services and manufactures industrial test equipment that is used in the rotating apparatus industry. (Motors, fans, turbines, rotors, etc. ) IRD prides itself in being the expert in balancing and core loss technologies. IRD has been in business since the early 1950's and enjoys a resurgence of equipment excellence. Come join our dynamic team TODAY. Check out IRD's website at www.irdproducts.com A person hired for this position will primarily be assembling IRD's Lexseco Core Loss Testers and accelerometers which is very much like panel building. They will also be cross training into assembly of other equipment which could also include industrial electronics. A person with experience in point-to-point wiring or electronics is extremely helpful. Two year Associates degree in electronics or related field, preferred, will consider individuals with 3 + years of electronic experience or electrical experience. Excellent manual dexterity, excellent hand-eye coordination and excellent attention to detail are required. Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve helpful in this position. Assists with electromechanical equipment assembly, instrument and parts assembly, including use of soldering iron, oscilloscope and other test equipment. This is a hands on position. Must have excellent dexterity. Must be willing to work full time (hours 7 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday). Must be willing learn and grow with the company. Previous Lean Manufacturing experience very helpful. Must be able to read both electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics. Must be able to wire components to assembly. Must be able to solder 3 years of industrial experience preferred. Excellent attention to detail required. Excellent dexterity skills a must. High School diploma/GED required. Associates degree in electronics preferred. Must be dependable and flexible with job duties Pay will be commensurate with experience, but between $19 and $25 per hour.
