About the Role We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Panel Builder / Electrical Technician to join our growing Production team. This position is based full-time in our climate-controlled, air-conditioned panel shop and focuses on high-volume industrial control panel manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and preparing electrical control panels for multiple industries including data centers, energy, marine, manufacturing, and industrial automation. This role is heavily focused on production efficiency, quality workmanship, and building standardized panels in a fast-paced shop environment. This is a shop-based role with no routine field work or travel requirements. Key Responsibilities Assemble and wire industrial control panels, PLC panels, and electrical enclosures from engineering drawings and schematics Lay out components, din rail, wireway, and devices per panel layouts and electrical drawings Cut and install din rail, panduit/wireway, and enclosure components Perform enclosure modifications including drilling, cutouts, and knockouts Route, label, terminate, and dress wiring to company quality standards Print and apply wire labels, device labels, and identification tags Select appropriate wire sizes and ferrules based on drawings and specifications Maintain clean, organized, and production-ready work areas Support high-volume panel production schedules and throughput goals Participate in QA/QC inspections and correct deficiencies as needed Assist with panel testing, continuity checks, and power-up verification Follow UL508A, NEC, customer, and company workmanship standards Receive and organize materials, hardware, and electrical components Prepare completed panels and assemblies for shipment Work closely with production leads, engineering, and QA/QC teams to resolve build issues efficiently Maintain safe work practices and follow all company safety procedures Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 1 year Electrical wiring experience required. Experience building industrial control panels or electrical assemblies Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and panel layout drawings Familiarity with industrial control components such as PLCs, relays, terminal blocks, VFDs, and power supplies Strong attention to detail and workmanship quality Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Experience with wire labeling, ferrules, and industrial panel wiring standards preferred Basic hand and power tool experience Ability to lift and move panels and materials as required Competencies Superb attention to detail Team player Safety-conscious Ability to manage multiple priorities Self-starter and natural problem solver We are RED Group.
