Microelectronics Assembler Job Description This contract Microelectronics Assembler role offers the opportunity to work with advanced electronic products and systems at a leading technology organization in Chelmsford, MA. Responsibilities Assemble electronic components, sub-assemblies, and finished products by following detailed work instructions, drawings, and documented processes. Use microscopes, measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment to perform precise assembly and testing while meeting all quality and performance requirements. Read, interpret, and follow assembly process documentation, work instructions, and related procedures to ensure consistent and accurate production. Handle and assemble components ranging from microscopic to larger sizes, using visual magnification tools as needed to ensure accuracy. Operate various hand tools, including tweezers, rulers, cutters, and pneumatic tools such as torque drivers and screwdrivers, in a safe and efficient manner. Maintain accurate data entry and production records in digital systems related to assembly, test, and other manufacturing processes. Collaborate with team members and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance throughput, efficiency, and product quality. Adhere to ESD procedures, safety guidelines, and company policies while working in an electronics production environment. Participate in required training, including shift-specific training, and apply new skills and standards such as J-STD-001 and

as you develop in the role. Essential Skills Basic computer skills, including the ability to navigate digital systems for timekeeping, accessing work instructions, and confirming tasks. Familiarity with electrical and/or microelectronics assembly (experience preferred). Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures and the use of electronic test equipment. Demonstrated strong work ethic with a track record of punctuality, reliability, and a desire to grow and learn. High school diploma or GED. Ability to obtain and maintain an interim security clearance, including successful completion of required drug and background checks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience working with microelectronics, electronic assembly, or related manufacturing environments. Experience using microscopes, magnification tools, and precision measuring instruments in assembly or inspection work. Familiarity with hand tools such as tweezers, cutters, rulers, and pneumatic tools including torque drivers and screwdrivers. Interest in long-term career growth in electronics manufacturing and a willingness to participate in continuous improvement efforts. Work Environment This role is based in a production facility in Chelmsford, MA, focused on advanced electronic and microelectronic products. The primary schedule is a 2nd shift, Monday through Thursday, from 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Contractors will initially start and train on a full-time first shift schedule, Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., before transitioning to the regular shift. You will work in a hands-on manufacturing environment that uses microscopes, magnification systems, electronic test equipment, and a variety of precision hand and pneumatic tools. The work involves handling small and sensitive electronic components, requiring adherence to ESD procedures and careful attention to cleanliness and organization at the workstation. The facility supports a collaborative team culture focused on quality, throughput, and continuous improvement, offering exposure to cutting-edge defense-related technologies and the opportunity to build valuable skills in microelectronics assembly. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Chelmsford, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
