Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Technician to assist in the assembly of electronic circuit boards. This role involves operating machines that place small electronic components onto circuit boards and ensuring the work meets quality standards. Responsibilities Operate SMT machinery to build electronic circuit boards. Run machines that place small electronic parts onto circuit boards. Conduct quality checks to ensure circuit boards meet established standards. Inspect and troubleshoot circuit boards using a microscope. Follow blueprints and schematics during assembly. Perform inspections and ensure adherence to IPC 610 standards. Essential Skills Proficiency in soldering and electronic assembly. Experience with SMT machinery and tooling, including Pick and Place, Reflow Ovens, 3D AOI, X-Ray, and Screen Printers. Ability to read and interpret schematics. Strong troubleshooting skills for electronic components and circuit boards. Familiarity with
IPC-A-610
standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications
IPC-A-610
