Job Description

Manufacturing technician responsible for new product builds, assembly process execution, wire harness assembly, testing, and work instruction support for new product implementation. Job Requirements Previous manufacturing experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Ability to read work orders, diagrams, and wire lists to determine required materials and assembly sequence Experience using hand tools and power-assisted assembly tools such as solder irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers Ability to perform wire cutting, marking, prep, tinning, wrapping, tying, and harness assembly Ability to install electrical connector pins, terminals, contacts, and wiring into components, plugs, and terminal strips Ability to visually inspect parts to standards and identify nonconforming material Ability to perform marking and labeling on completed assemblies Ability to log in and out of work orders using a computer system Ability to document process steps in written English Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Paint Strong math aptitude Close vision and color vision required Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally Ability to sit or stand for extended periods throughout the workday Preferred Skills Prior experience using an MRP or ERP system to review bills of materials Experience operating automatic and semi-automatic assembly equipment and machinery Experience supporting new product implementation or engineering build activities Job Responsibilities Support the development and accuracy of standard assembly work instructions for new product implementation Perform new product builds in coordination with engineering and manufacturing teams Read work orders, diagrams, and wire lists to determine materials and sequence of assembly Conduct tests to analyze and evaluate new materials for use in new products Provide documentation and feedback for process improvements Use hand tools and power-assisted tools to complete assembly tasks Select, cut, and mark wires by specified color, marking, or length Perform wire prep and tinning and wrap and tie wires to form harnesses Install electrical connector pins, terminals, and contacts to wire ends Insert or install wires into components, plugs, or terminal strips Visually inspect parts and report nonconforming material to supervision Install heat shrink, expandable sleeving, and sealants as required Perform marking and labeling with identifying data on completed assemblies Log work order activity using the computer system
Pay:
