$25.00 - $30.00 Hourly Overview The Electrical & Assembly Technician is responsible for the assembly, wiring, and testing of electrical panels, subassemblies, and machine systems, with a primary focus on machine wiring. This role supports production and engineering teams to ensure high-quality standards, efficiency, and continuous improvement within anISO 9001
manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Perform machine wiring and cabinet wiring with a high level of precision and accuracy. Complete soldering and crimping of electrical components and small gauge wires. Assemble electrical sub-panels, cabinets, and complex wiring harnesses. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings to ensure build accuracy. Propose and implement process and equipment improvements to reduce cost, increase efficiency, and enhance safety. Cross-train and mentor other technicians in the areas of assembly, troubleshooting, and testing. Document and report failures or defects via company quality processes. Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering on fixture development, corrective actions, and continuous improvement measures. Maintain accurate assembly and test records for regulatory and quality control requirements. Follow 5S and lean manufacturing principles within anISO 9001
environment. Work overtime to meet production schedules as needed to achieve departmental goals. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Proficiency in reading and understanding electrical schematics and technical drawings. Expert skill in hand crimp tools, wire stripping, and building cables/harnesses. Familiarity withIPC/WHMA-A-620
Cable & Wiring Harness standards. Experience with standard D-subminiature connectors and machine/cabinet wiring. Ability to work with varying wire gauges ranging from 10 to 32 AWG. Strong soldering skills are a must; a current or previous soldering certificate is desirable. Skill in using standard hand tools, drills, and precision assembly equipment. Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to train others. Ability to cooperate effectively in a team environment to achieve quality and safety goals. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required; technical schooling in precision manufacturing or electrical assembly is preferred. Prior experience in electrical assembly, panel builds, or machine wiring is highly valued. Applicants of varying levels of experience will be considered. Work Environment & Compliance Must adhere to all workplace safety requirements and 5S standards.
