Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled assembly technician specializing in the assembly of optical components within both Class 100 (ISO 5) Clean Room and non-clean room lab environments. The role involves precise assembly tasks, including bonding components using two-part epoxies and maintaining detailed build books to ensure traceability. The ideal candidate will excel in a development environment, efficiently finding and validating information to meet quality, schedule, and cost targets. Responsibilities include reading and analyzing manufacturing instructions, drawings, and CAD models, diagnosing and resolving assembly issues, and safely handling sensitive optical components. Effective communication with cross-functional teams and providing feedback to improve manufacturing processes and documentation are essential aspects of this role.
Essential Functions:
Assembly of various optical and mechanical components within a Class 100 (ISO 5) Clean Room and/or a non-clean room lab. Thrive in a development environment, be able to efficiently and effectively search for and find information to determine and validate the right path forward for the assembly, while also meeting quality, schedule and cost targets for the program Lapping various types of materials for flatness, parallelism, and angles to extremely tight tolerancing Read and analyze various sources of data including manufacturing instructions, drawings, blueprints and CAD models. Effectively diagnose problems and determine effective corrective actions to issues associated with assembly of complex mechanical, optical and electrical components Maintain traceability to various components within a kit during assembly.
