Assembler Job Description The Assembler builds complex wire harnesses by following large schematics and blueprints, using hand and power tools to connect, route, and secure wires and cables. This role focuses on accurately reading diagrams, assembling components on a schematic board, and ensuring each wire and connector is placed correctly to meet quality and productivity standards in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assemble wire harnesses on large schematic and blueprint boards with a high level of accuracy. Harness and route cables to complete wire harness assemblies according to specifications. Braid wires neatly and consistently to meet quality and safety requirements. Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to determine the correct placement of each specific wire and cable, including color-coded layouts. Connect wires and cables into the appropriate connectors and components as indicated on the schematic board. Use basic hand tools and power tools to tighten, screw, and connect parts securely on the schematic board. Maintain a steady workflow in a fast-paced, highly productive environment while standing and walking for the entire shift. Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintain an organized work area. Essential Skills At least 6 months of mechanical or electronic assembly experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred. Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints accurately. Experience with mechanical assembly and general assembly tasks. Ability to perform wiring and cable harnessing tasks. Comfort using basic hand tools and power tools for tightening, screwing, and connecting parts. Capability to stand for the entire shift and walk back and forth along the schematic board in a highly productive environment. Strong attention to detail, especially when working with color-coded wires and cables. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience with wire harnessing is a plus. Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality in a fast-paced setting. Comfort working independently while following detailed instructions and diagrams. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mankato, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $20.00/hr.
