Job Title:
Assembler Job Description The Assembler builds wire harnesses and cable assemblies by following large schematic and blueprint boards. This role involves routing and securing wires, connecting cables into various connectors, and using hand and power tools to complete precise mechanical and electronic assemblies in a fast-paced production environment. Responsibilities Assemble wire harnesses on large schematic and blueprint boards according to detailed instructions. Harness and route cables to build complete wire harnesses that meet quality and specification requirements. Braid wires neatly and consistently to ensure durability and proper organization of assemblies. Read and interpret schematics and blueprints, including color-coded diagrams, to determine correct wire and cable placement. Connect wires and cables into a variety of connectors, ensuring secure and accurate terminations. Use basic hand tools and power tools to tighten, screw, and connect parts on the schematic board safely and efficiently. Inspect work during and after assembly to verify accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support productivity and safety in a fast-paced environment. Essential Skills At least 6 months of mechanical or electronic assembly experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred. Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints, including color-coded layouts. Experience with mechanical assembly tasks such as tightening, screwing, and connecting parts. Comfort using basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail and accuracy when routing, braiding, and connecting wires and cables. Ability to stand for the entire shift and walk back and forth along the schematic board. Capability to work productively in a fast-paced, highly productive environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Wire harnessing experience is a plus. Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and physical components. Ability to follow written and visual instructions with minimal errors. Why Work Here? A well-equipped, comfortable breakroom is available for breaks, contributing to an overall positive and modern workplace atmosphere. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mankato, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
