Full Job Description Overview:
Selflock Screw Products (SSP) is a third-generation, family-owned manufacturer supporting defense, aerospace, and industrial customers. We are growing our electrical assembly team and hiring Electrical Assemblers to build Power Distribution Units (PDUs) and related wiring assemblies. This role is hands-on and production-focused. Success in this position comes from reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to consistently produce high-quality work.
What You'll Do:
Assemble Power Distribution Units (PDUs) and electrical subassemblies Perform wire routing, cutting, stripping, crimping, and termination Read and follow wiring diagrams, schematics, and work instructions Install electrical components such as connectors, outlets, and wiring Perform basic testing and inspection to ensure quality Maintain a clean, organized workstation (FOD awareness required) Work with engineering and quality to resolve build issues Follow all safety and quality standards
What We're Looking For:
IPC/WHMA-A-620
certification Experience with wiring, electrical assembly, or panel assembly preferred Ability to read basic schematics or follow detailed instructions Comfortable using hand tools, wire strippers, and crimpers Strong attention to detail and quality Reliable, consistent attendance Team-oriented with a willingness to learn
Strong Candidate Backgrounds:
We are especially interested in candidates with hands-on experience in: Wire harness or cable assembly shops Electrical panel building HVAC wiring or controls work Automotive electrical or similar technical work Any role involving detailed wiring, assembly, or troubleshooting
Work Environment:
Clean, organized manufacturing floor Hands-on work with small components and wiring Sitting or standing for extended periods $21.00 - $23.50 per hour depending on experience
