Job Title:
Electronics Assembler Job Description This role focuses on assembling battery packs and electronic subassemblies with a strong emphasis on soldering. You will work with small components at a production workbench, performing repetitive yet precise tasks that require excellent hand dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to follow detailed work instructions and quality standards. Responsibilities Assemble battery packs and subassemblies using specialized tooling and equipment, including surface-mount and through-hole soldering and resistance spot welding, in strict accordance with work instructions, control plans, and blueprints. Perform repetitive soldering tasks on wires and electronic components to complete battery assemblies while maintaining high quality and consistency. Comply fully with all pack assembly safety requirements, lithium-ion handling precautions, safety protocols, and applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations. Conduct in-process and final inspections, including visual quality checks and functional/product testing, to verify conformance to specifications and identify defects. Execute shipping preparation procedures and accurately complete delivery and receiving records, packaging documentation, and related paperwork. Maintain a clean, organized, and 5S-compliant work area at all times. Practice safe work habits and adhere to all company safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures. Support lab operations as needed, including sample labeling, data recording, and assisting with functional testing activities. Participate in cross-training initiatives to build versatility across tasks and processes. Contribute to process improvements, standardization efforts, and team-based problem-solving activities. Use a computer to access work instructions, record data, and complete basic documentation in Microsoft Office applications. Essential Skills Minimum of one year of experience in a related assembly, manufacturing, or technician role, ideally in electronics, electromechanical, or battery assembly. Proven soldering experience, including work with surface-mount and through-hole components. Familiarity with IPC quality standards for ISO compliance; prior experience working to IPC-A-610 orIPC J-STD-001
standards is strongly preferred. Strong hand dexterity and the ability to handle small components and large clamps to piece together electronic framing. Experience in small parts assembly or an electronics assembly role. Ability to read and interpret work instructions in English accurately and consistently. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods during the shift. Comfort performing repetitive tasks while maintaining focus, quality, and productivity. Ability to use Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to work in compliance with ITAR-related documentation requirements. Additional Skills & Qualifications Hands-on experience meeting IPC-A-610 orIPC J-STD-001
soldering standards; prior IPC certification is highly desirable. Experience with electronics assembly, including PCB work, wiring, and small parts assembly. Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and detailed assembly documentation. Experience with electronics testing and basic troubleshooting in a production or lab environment. Familiarity with wire bonding, surface-mount technology (SMT), and through-hole soldering techniques. Comfort using common hand tools and assembly tools in a production setting. Background working under structured production, quality, and process control environments. Interest in cross-training and contributing to continuous improvement and standardization initiatives. Work Environment You will work on a small production floor at an individual workbench, handling electronic components and battery assemblies throughout the day. The schedule runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with some overtime as needed based on production demands. The environment is structured, organized, and aligned with 5S principles, with a strong focus on safety, cleanliness, and adherence to lithium-ion handling and general safety protocols. Work is hands-on and detail-oriented, involving frequent standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and repetitive fine-motor tasks such as soldering and small parts assembly while using computers, hand tools, and testing equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beaverton, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
