- Job Description This role involves assembling, testing, and packaging electro-mechanical products in a lean manufacturing environment.
You will work with small parts, hand tools, and basic test equipment to build high-quality products according to visual and written work instructions. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow standardized processes, and the flexibility to rotate between different production cells and teams. Responsibilities Assemble electro-mechanical products using small parts, hand tools, and standardized work instructions. Perform basic go/no-go testing of circuit boards to verify functionality and identify nonconforming products. Carry out wire bonding and RF soldering for sub-assemblies as required by product specifications. Read and follow visual and written work instructions to add customer-specific components accurately. Package finished products securely and stage them for shipping according to established procedures. Notify material handlers promptly of any part shortages or material issues that could impact production. Work within a lean manufacturing, kanban-driven production cell to meet quality and productivity targets. Use computers to access work instructions, record production data, and complete basic documentation. Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all ESD (electrostatic discharge) handling procedures. Lift and move materials and products weighing up to 35 pounds as part of daily tasks. Stand for extended periods while performing assembly, testing, and packaging activities. Collaborate with team members and rotate between teams and tasks as production needs change. Essential Skills Hands-on assembly experience, including working with small parts and components. Proficiency using hand tools in a production or assembly environment. Experience with basic testing, including go/no-go testing of circuit boards or similar components. Ability to perform or learn wire bonding and RF soldering for sub-assemblies. Strong understanding of English to read, interpret, and follow written and visual work instructions. Ability to use a computer for basic tasks such as accessing instructions and entering production information. Previous experience in production involving small parts or mechanical assembly. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds safely and repeatedly. Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift. Capability to provide references for the last five jobs or seven years of work history. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in general production, assembly line work, or assembly production environments. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and working in a kanban-driven production cell. Experience with packaging finished products for shipment. Comfort working in an ESD-controlled environment. Flexible and adaptable personality, with the ability to rotate between teams and tasks as needed. Why Work Here? You will stand for most of the shift, frequently handle small parts, and lift up to 35 pounds as part of regular duties. The position involves regular use of hand tools, basic test equipment, and computer systems to follow instructions and record production data. Team members rotate between different teams and tasks, so a flexible and cooperative approach is essential. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, OR.
