Job Description
Joseph Machine Company, located in Dillsburg, PA, is seeking a candidate to join the electrical team. JMC is a growing OEM of highly automated equipment; our customized saws and fabrication centers are used by the best manufacturers in the window, door and automotive industry.
Key responsibilities:
Maintain general shop's safety and cleanliness. building electrical panels, routing wires, terminating electrical panels, and installing electrical components in custom designed machinery Detailed oriented and able to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and specifications to determined established assembly methods. Cut wire to specified lengths, using wire cutters. Crimps terminal eyelets and lugs to wire ends, using hand or machine crimping device. Routes, and attaches wire to terminal points, according to electrical schematics, using soldering guns and hand tools. Connects wiring to accessories, such as relays, circuit breakers, plugs, switches, and solenoids, and installs accessory assemblies in electrical or electronic units, using soldering guns and hand tools. Conducts functional and continuity tests of electrical assemblies, components, wire harness, and plugs, using ohmmeter, test lights, and other electrical testing instruments. Maintain general shop's safety and cleanliness. Assembly and wiring of machine components, panels, and subassemblies. Inspect wiring installations, assemblies and circuits. Test the functional performance of the equipment. Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to blueprint specifications using instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and tape measure. Job requirements:
Having good mechanical/electrical aptitude. Require efficiency in basic hand tools such as measuring devises and electrical meters. Must have own basic tools. Must possess good skills. Must have the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of people from plant managers to machine operators. Must be dependable, reliable, and hard working. Good attendance is a must. Basic math skills/ Computer skills Ability to read and understand electrical drawings Ability to work independently and still function as a team player. Ability to assemble basic standard components to JMC specifications. Must be available to work overtime as needed. Must be able to stand, bend and move for the entire shift as needed. May need to work in narrow spaces to run cables, etc. Requires a high school diploma and/or related experience or comparable abilities. Other duties as required.
