Temp-to-Hire LINK Staffing is hiring an experienced Electrical Assembly Technician for an established manufacturer in Sugar Land, TX. This is a Temp-to-Hire role with a clear path to permanent placement for the right candidate. You'll work 1st shift building, wiring, and testing industrial control panels and power-system assemblies from engineering drawings — hands-on, build-it-right work where craftsmanship and accuracy matter. Job Highlights $24.00/hour 1st shift schedule, Monday through Friday Temp-to-Hire with conversion to permanent for top performers Sugar Land, TX Established manufacturer with steady production volume Skilled-trade role using electrical assembly, PLCs, and low-voltage wiring What You'll Do Assemble, configure, and integrate electrical and electronic systems, including control panels, PLCs, and power components Install, terminate, and test low-voltage wiring and electrical connections Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams Follow standardized work instructions to deliver consistent quality Perform functional testing and inspections to verify system performance Identify and report defects, malfunctions, or discrepancies in materials or assembly Keep your work area, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and safe Track production quantities, time, and productivity accurately Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete final integration Support continuous improvement around safety, quality, and efficiency What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, electrical assembly, or a related skilled-trade field Strong working knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems and basic troubleshooting Comfort using voltmeters, hand tools, and basic power tools Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams Solid understanding of quality control and inspection processes Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset Clear written and verbal communication Able to stand and walk 8+ hours per day with frequent bending, kneeling, and overhead reaching Lift up to 30 lbs and push/pull up to 50 lbs Manual dexterity for handling tools, components, and small assemblies Close vision, color recognition, and focus adjustment for detailed work PPE required: safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear Why Apply 1st shift, Monday through Friday - no rotating nights or weekends as your standard schedule $24/hour with Temp-to-Hire path to permanent placement Stable, established Sugar Land-area manufacturer Skilled, hands-on work using both electrical assembly and technical training LINK Staffing recruiter support throughout your assignment Apply Now Apply today to connect with a LINK Staffing recruiter from our Houston West office.
