Job Description

KP Staffing is now hiring electronics assembly technicians in Houston, TX! Job Summary The electronics assembly technician will assemble and calibrate oil-field products while following work instructions and documenting progress on work orders. This role includes soldering, assembly, testing, and supporting manufacturing processes using approved tools, equipment, and software. Pay $21-25 per hour Shift 1st shift: 6 a.m.
  • 3 p.m., Monday
  • Friday or 7 am
  • 4 pm., Monday
  • Friday Duties Learn and follow work instructions for assembly and document the progress of work orders on work order travelers Route and solder wires to PCBA with stress relief Maintain a clean and organized workstation Clean related soldering work performed Perform SMT and PTH rework on capacitors, resistors, ICs, and wires Assemble functional and cosmetic hardware to assemblies using approved hand tools such as screwdrivers and torque drivers Perform electrical continuity checks on work-in-progress or completed work as required by product documentation Use job-related software and computer programs such as email, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Smartsheet Maintain knowledge of component identification, advanced soldering, assembly drawings, bill of materials, and written instructions Cross train in other manufacturing processes such as functional and ring out testing, thermal testing, and Highly Accelerated Stress Screening testing Ensure work-in-progress work orders are staged and organized efficiently in the work area Use released or pre-released drawings, blueprints, schematics, or wiring diagrams to perform assembly and soldering on sub-assemblies Operate measuring equipment such as multimeters to verify workmanship Communicate with team members when equipment, controls, or systems issues disrupt the manufacturing process Identify opportunities for improvement within manufacturing or testing areas Assemble electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic components into assemblies or legacy products Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies Qualifications
IPC-A-610
certified or related Class 3 soldering experience Fine detailed work with hand tools and assembly Experience with the handling and application of adhesives and epoxies on PCBs and PCBAs Proficient knowledge and experience in mechanical assembly Ability to read, interpret, and work from assembly prints, wiring diagrams, and schematics Effective communication Job Type Contract To Hire How to Apply Start by submitting your resume or visit KP Staffing Houston for an in-person interview.
