Job Title:
Structures Lead Technician Job Description We are seeking a Structural Technician, Lead to oversee a team responsible for assembling parts for satellite systems in a manufacturing facility. This hands-on role combines leadership, technical expertise, and production oversight to ensure high-quality assembly of electrical and mechanical components. The ideal candidate will have experience interpreting blueprints, using precision tools, and guiding team members to meet production goals. This position is part of the Control Sat (CSAT) structures group, which is responsible for the assembly and maintenance of the primary satellite structure. A lead technician in this area should have expert level familiarity with aerospace specific composite and metallic structural mechanical work. Responsibilities Lead and manage small teams of technicians in the assembly of satellite structure components. Distribute work tasks to team members based on priority and individual skill levels. Interpret and apply blueprints and technical drawings during assembly. Conduct MRO type rework from engineering as needed. Essential Skills Proficiency in assembly, blueprint interpretation, and wiring. Experience with structure, sheet metal repair, and assembly. Skillful use of hand tools and power tools. High aptitude to work with small electronics, including soldering of small electrical components or mechanical equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Associates degree or certificate in a technical area. Experience in the space or aeronautical field. Eligibility to work in the U.S. as a citizen, permanent resident, or authorized non-citizen. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
