Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
Applies principles and theories of electronics, electrical circuitry, engineering mathematics, electronic and electrical testing. Discusses layout and assembly procedures and problems with Engineer. Assembles experimental circuitry (breadboard) or complete prototype model according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronic systems and components. Recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance. Sets up standard test apparatus or devises test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and life tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production model. Analyzes and interprets test data. Adjusts, calibrates, aligns, and modifies circuitry and components and records effects on unit performance. Writes technical reports and develops charts, graphs, and schematics to describe and illustrate system's operating characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications, and functional limitations for consideration by engineer. May operate bench lathes, drills, or other machine tools to fabricate parts, such as coils, terminal boards, and chassis. Adheres to all safety standards and requirements Other duties as assigned.JOB REQUIREMENTS
General Requirements:
Minimum 5 years' experience in an oilfield downhole products company. Manufacturing experience in a perforating organization a plus. Technical Requirements /Skills:
Able to interface with both technical and non-technical personnel. Able to provide improvement to processes as required. Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Has good soldering skills and techniques. Able to write routine reports and correspondence. Able to communicate effectively and present information to and respond to communication from coworkers, individuals, management, groups, and the general public. Able to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Must be knowledgeable of and able to recognize electronic parts and components. Able to perform routine, repetitive, detailed work. Able to manage and work with people in a harmonious way to accomplish the task assigned to the department.Certificates, Licenses & Registrations :
Must have a valid driver's license and record that conforms to company's insurance policies, ATF, DOT, and State or other required Hazmat training Work Authorization /Security Clearance:
Able to meet ATF & regulatory security requirements. Must be US citizen, or lawful permanent resident of the United States (student Visa does not qualify), in accordance with ATF regulations.WORK ENVIRONMENT / CONDITIONS
: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work settings range from clean indoor lab to unprotected outdoor environments. Occasionally will install and inspect network cables in floors and ceilings. Occasionally will need to perform duties outside of the normal business hours and be available on-call.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
