Mechanical/Electrical Assembler

Overview:

AIT is made up of skilled builders, thinkers, and problem-solvers who thrive in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a Machine Builder / Assembler to join our team and help assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair custom industrial equipment while supporting shop operations as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Reading and interpreting assembly instructions, specifications, schematics, diagrams, drawings, and BOMs
• Working with high and low-voltage electrical systems
• Building and modifying machines, from rough prototypes to finished production equipment
• Fabricating, fitting, and adjusting parts for proper function and fitment
• Sourcing parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials needed for assembly and testing
• Using critical thinking and sound judgment to keep projects moving forward
• Collaborating with team members and sharing technical knowledge
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area General Requirements
• A can-do attitude and strong mechanical aptitude
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work through assembly challenges
• Experience with electrical panel setup, including installing and wiring fuse blocks, terminal blocks, and disconnects
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and components such as bearings, chains, pulleys, belts, gearboxes, pneumatic cylinders, and valves
• Proficiency with mechanic's tools, power tools, measuring tools, and general shop equipment
• A clean driving record and the ability to be insured
• Trailer towing experience
• Ability to operate a forklift and load and unload trucks
• Ability to make pickups and deliveries as needed
