Job Description

Manufacturing Team Lead Make an Impact. Build from the Ground Up. Lead What's Next. We're looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Team Lead who thrives in a fast‑growing, team‑oriented environment. In this role, you'll take ownership of the full mechanical and electrical assembly process , guiding builds from start to finish while helping shape and improve a production line that's in growth mode. If you enjoy problem‑solving, working with your hands, and making real improvements that matter—this is a role where your skills and ideas will be valued. What You'll Do Lead the complete mechanical and electrical assembly of units from start to finish using hand and power tools. Layout and build control panels (PLCs and drives - no programming required). Assemble conveyors, install motors, and build panel boards. Install wiring, electrical components, terminals, jump fuses, and electrical panels. Support multiple production lines by performing advanced assembly work, troubleshooting issues, and repairing components as needed. Step in where needed—supporting warehouse tasks, packaging, or general assembly to keep operations running smoothly. Quickly learn and work within internal software systems, including Excel and production‑related tools. Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, safety, and workflow—and helping implement those changes. Communicate clearly and confidently, explaining build processes and the "why" behind each step to support team success. What You Bring Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with a hands‑on mindset. Proficiency using hand and power tools. Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints . At least 2 years of electro‑mechanical assembly experience . Solid foundation in mechanical and electrical principles. Experience with wiring, electrical components, and mechanical assembly. Nice to Have Experience using software beyond Microsoft Office. Familiarity with production line workflows or manufacturing environments. Strong troubleshooting and hardware repair skills. Some flexibility with start times to support work‑life balance, including childcare needs. Work is performed in a clean, climate‑controlled assembly environment . Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA 23231. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
