Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Soldering Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, soldering, and inspecting printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic components to ensure high-quality production standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical and mechanical skills, with a focus on precision soldering techniques and adherence to safety protocols. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to innovative electronic products through meticulous craftsmanship and technical expertise. Duties Perform surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole soldering on printed circuit boards (PCBs) using hand tools, power tools, and automated equipment. Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and IPC 610 standards to ensure compliance with industry quality requirements. Assemble electronic components accurately according to manufacturing specifications, including electrical wiring and mechanical assembly. Utilize calipers, ohmmeters, and other measurement tools to verify component placement and electrical continuity. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, ensuring adherence to safety guidelines during soldering and machining processes. Inspect finished assemblies for defects or non-conformities using visual inspection techniques aligned with IPC 610 standards. Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues related to PCB assembly, solder joints, or mechanical fit. Qualifications Proven experience in PCB assembly, soldering (including surface mount technology), and electrical wiring within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of schematics, mechanical knowledge, and the use of hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment. Familiarity with IPC 610 standards for electronic assemblies and quality control procedures. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus. Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately. Proficiency with measurement instruments such as calipers and ohmmeters. Electrical experience combined with excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail. Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
