Job Description

Assembler Job Description The Assembler plays a key role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment by accurately assembling components and finished products according to established specifications. This position requires strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to interpret technical documents while consistently meeting quality and safety standards. The Assembler works closely with team members to support production goals and maintain an organized, efficient work area. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and work instructions to assemble products accurately. Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to perform mechanical and custom assembly tasks. Assemble components and products according to specifications and production requirements. Inspect parts and finished products for defects and verify compliance with quality standards. Troubleshoot minor assembly issues independently and make basic adjustments as needed. Use precision measuring tools, such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers, to confirm accurate dimensions. Follow lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices where applicable. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with safety protocols and PPE requirements. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines. Report any issues, discrepancies, or equipment concerns to the appropriate personnel promptly. Handle and move materials and products safely, including lifting items up to 50 lbs. Follow all company policies, procedures, and quality standards throughout the assembly process. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read and understand technical documents, blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and work instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with common tools and equipment. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments safely and effectively. Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment. Ability to inspect parts and assemblies for defects and quality compliance. Basic knowledge of electrical or mechanical systems. Ability to troubleshoot minor assembly issues independently. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in assembly or manufacturing is preferred but not required. Familiarity with HVAC components or similar equipment. Experience with soldering, wiring, or brazing techniques. Competence in using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers. Understanding of lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement practices. Experience with mechanical assembly and electrical assembly tasks. Ability to read and work from schematics and production drawings. Comfort working with power tools and mechanical systems in a production setting. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in an indoor, temperature-controlled manufacturing facility with very good lighting and exposure to machinery and moderate noise levels. The standard schedule is a first-shift assignment from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with overtime available on Fridays and a mandatory four hours of overtime as required by production needs. Team members must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety protocols. The environment emphasizes a family-oriented culture, collaboration, and consistent production workflows using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Germantown, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
