The Lighting Assembler is responsible for assembling, wiring, testing, and packaging lighting fixtures and related components according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. This hands-on position requires attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and a commitment to producing high-quality products safely and accurately. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, reliability, teamwork, and a willingness to learn and grow within the organization. Essential Responsibilities
- Assemble lighting fixtures, components, and subassemblies according to specifications and production schedules
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions
- Perform electrical wiring and component installation using hand and power tools
- Inspect completed assemblies to ensure quality and compliance with company standards
- Test lighting fixtures and troubleshoot basic assembly or wiring issues as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Package completed products for shipment while ensuring protection and accuracy
- Assist with inventory organization and material handling as required
- Follow all safety procedures, quality procedures, and company policies
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production or quality concerns
- Support continuous improvement efforts within the manufacturing process
- Perform additional duties as assigned Skills & Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Ability to read and follow assembly instructions and basic technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
- Self-motivated and dependable with a strong work ethic
- Basic computer skills are a plus
- Willingness to learn new processes and techniques
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Prior manufacturing, assembly, or electrical assembly experience preferred but not required
- Vocational or technical training related to manufacturing, electronics, or assembly is a plus Work Environment
- Manufacturing and production facility environment
- Exposure to tools, machinery, and electrical components
- PPE may be required depending on work area and task
Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
