We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Machine Assembler to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling machinery and mechanical components based on technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. This role requires the ability to work with a variety of tools, machinery, and materials to ensure that each machine is built to precise standards and operates efficiently.Duties/Responsibilities:
Assembly of Machines & Equipment:
Assemble (fasten, bolt, glue, etc.) mechanical, electrical components, and sub-assemblies of machines and equipment according to assembly drawings, work orders, and engineering specifications.Blueprint Reading:
Interpret and follow blueprints, engineering drawings, and schematics to ensure accurate assembly of machines.Tool & Equipment Operation:
Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as drills, presses, vices, saws, and wrenches to assemble, align, and install machine parts.Quality Control:
Perform quality checks on assembled machines to ensure they meet required standards. Conduct tests to verify machine performance and functionality.Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving:
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues during assembly and make necessary adjustments or repairs.Component Installation:
Install various machine components including control boxes, motors, switches, timers, and thermostats.Collaboration:
Work closely with engineers, quality control teams, testing, and other production staff to meet production schedules and ensure quality standards are met.Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety standards and protocols to maintain a safe working environment, including proper handling of machinery and tools, and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Documentation:
Keep accurate records of assembly processes, material usage, and machine performance reports.Maintenance:
Assist in maintaining and repairing equipment, tools, and machinery to ensure proper functionality during assembly. This role may include additional responsibilities as needed to support departmental or organizational goals.Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems. Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve during assembly. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification or associate degree in a related field (e.g., mechanical engineering, industrial technology) is preferred. Previous experience in machine assembly, mechanical assembly, or a related manufacturing field is highly preferred (1-3 years).Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs). Ability to stand, bend, crouch, and work in a physically demanding environment for extended periods. Continual and repetitive use or all limbs, gripping, holding, pressing, manipulating, rotating of hands and wrists. Comfortable working with industrial machinery and tools.
