Job Description

The Mechanical Assembler will assemble or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment per required specifications in a specific area of a manufacturing organization.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products Utilize hand held tools such as a hand-held screw and drill gun Maintain inventory of product in work stations Perform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standards Identify product defects and ensure supervision is notified Rework and/or repair assembled equipment per instructions Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures Maintain a clean and safe work area Qualification requirements: High School Diploma or GED Good verbal communication skills Mechanical assembly experience Basic reading skills. Must be able to follow directions Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problems High attention to detail and self-motivation skills Technical or vocational training or certification a plus; may be required to pass basic skills test Physical demands and abilities: Regularly lift 30-50 pounds Regularly perform repetitive tasks Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately Good vision and ability to focus May be required to stand for extended periods of time Due to the nature of Rotron's programs and products, applicants must have the legal right to work in the US and additionally must be legally authorized to access export-controlled information and source code.
