Job Description The Electro-Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing cables, components, and electro-mechanical subassemblies used in rack-based systems for defense and industrial applications. This role works from engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions to ensure all assemblies meet quality and performance standards. The assembler also supports basic troubleshooting and testing efforts in a production environment. Key Responsibilities Assembly & Production
- Assemble cables, wire harnesses, and electro-mechanical subassemblies based on drawings and instructions
- Perform mechanical assembly using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and jigs
- Route, secure, and terminate wiring within assemblies and equipment racks Testing & Quality
- Conduct basic electrical testing, including continuity checks and support of acceptance testing (ATPs)
- Perform soldering touch-ups or rework when trained, including fine-pitch components
- Inspect assemblies to ensure compliance with IPC-A-610 and
IPC/WHMA-A-620
standards Documentation & Process
- Record assembly work, test results, and production data accurately

- 1-2+ years of experience assembling cables, harnesses, or electro-mechanical equipment in a production environment
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Experience using hand tools (crimpers, wire strippers, screwdrivers, torque tools, etc.)
- Basic understanding of electronics (continuity, polarity, connectors)
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship quality Basic computer skills (Excel, Word)
- IPC-A-610 and/or
IPC/WHMA-A-620
certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with DoD systems (C4ISR, CANES, ADNS, etc.)
- Soldering experience, including fine-pitch SMD work
- Fiber optic cable handling or termination experience Technical training or associate's degree in a related field
