This role supports production by ensuring accurate, efficient, and safe assembly of parts used in custom metal fabrication projects. Key Responsibilities Assembly & Production Assemble mechanical components, hardware, and fabricated parts according to blueprints and specifications Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to complete assemblies Fit, align, and adjust parts to meet dimensional and functional requirements Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and rework as needed Blueprints, Documentation & Quality Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and work orders Verify part quantities, materials, and specifications before assembly Inspect completed assemblies for accuracy, quality, and proper function Document work performed and report any discrepancies or defects Collaboration & Workflow Work closely with Fabrication, Welding, and Engineering teams to resolve assembly issues Communicate material shortages, design concerns, or process improvements Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Safety & Compliance Follow all company safety policies, including PPE requirements Operate tools and equipment safely and responsibly Participate in continuous improvement and 5S initiatives Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 1-3 years of mechanical assembly experience in manufacturing preferred Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and measurements Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices (calipers, tape measures, torque tools) Basic mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills Preferred Experience Experience in metal fabrication, machining, or industrial equipment assembly Familiarity with pneumatic or hydraulic systems Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, or hoists (certifications a plus) Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and quality Good manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable, punctual, and committed to safety Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the production floor Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed Comfortable working around machinery, tools, and fabrication equipment
