Mechanical Assembler text 6 3 0 6 2 5 9 1 0 4 if intersted Job Description This position is responsible for the assembly of low and medium voltage electrical switchgear cabinets for the manufacture of products. Assemblers will be responsible for taking a blueprint or work order, gathering appropriate materials and hardware, using hand and power tools to follow the work instructions and perform a basic inspection to ensure the product is manufactured with quality. Responsibilities Interpret assembly and elevation drawings. Construct modular steel cabinets and copper buss assemblies. Read tape measure accurately. Use manual hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers. Operate power tools including drills, impact wrenches, and pneumatic torque wrenches. Essential Skills At least 2 years of experience as a Mechanical Assembler, Machine Builder, or Automotive Mechanic in a job shop environment. Knowledge of electrical symbols and schematics. Ability to use shop equipment and hand tools. Perform basic math functions including fractions and decimals. Fluency in English to read, write, and converse effectively. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of St. Charles, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
