Machine Operator/Assembler 802 East Short Street, Columbia City, IN 46725 $15.50 - $17.00 an hour - Full-time $15.50 - $17.00 an hour - Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Machine Operator/Assembler to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating machinery and assembling products efficiently and accurately within a fast-paced factory environment. Your mechanical knowledge, hands-on skills with hand and power tools, and experience working on assembly lines will be essential to ensure high-quality production standards. Responsibilities Operate various manufacturing machinery safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols. Assemble components using hand tools, power tools, and assembly line techniques to meet production targets. Conduct quality checks throughout the production process to ensure products meet specifications. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to promote a safe working environment. Assist with loading and unloading materials using forklifts or warehouse equipment as needed. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot mechanical issues and optimize workflow. Follow detailed work instructions and document production activities accurately. Requirements Previous factory or manufacturing facility experience is highly preferred. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly line equipment confidently. Experience with forklift operation or warehouse experience is a plus. Familiarity with manufacturing processes, assembly techniques, and quality standards. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform physically demanding tasks safely. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Basic understanding of safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.
