Shop Service Assembler (Part Time) - Elkhart S Runnings - 3.0 Elkhart, IN Job Details Part-time $12 - $14 an hour 17 hours ago Qualifications Mechanical blueprint interpretation Assembly quality control testing Maintaining an organized workspace Engine parts Unloading Truck delivery (delivery method) Forklift Task prioritization Lifts and hoists Engine repair Equipment testing Assembly drawings Quality assurance within manufacturing Clean workspace maintenance Precision assembly Small engine maintenance Material handling equipment operation Entry level Full Job Description The Shop Service Assembler's main responsibility is to assemble Stihl/OPE products. This would be a mostly days and weekends position. Preferably some experience working with this type of machinery. 20hrs a week with opportunity for more hours.
Pay Range:
$12.00-$14.00 Depending on experience.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Service Shop Assembler reports directly to the Service Shop Manager. Service Shop Assembler will have no direct supervisory authority.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Read and interpret specification manuals or assembly blueprints to assemble product accordingly. Perform quality control checks that entail inspecting, operating, and testing completed products. Align or position components needed for assembly, either by manual placement or by using hoists. Must be able to perform in a productive and positive manner with minimal supervision. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Loading and unloading equipment, and machine assembly. Must represent Runnings in a professional and positive manner. May assist with routine small engine maintenance and repairs. Perform on-site evaluations and equipment demos. Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain proper certifications that may be required. Operate equipment such as forklifts, delivery truck, etc.
OTHER DUTIES
Other duties as assigned by the Service Shop Manager.
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
May need to work an irregular work schedule. Must be detail orientated. Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to comprehend new processes, multi-task, and properly plan and prioritize tasks. Positive and professional interactions with co-workers, self-motivation, and strong work ethic. Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
