Job Description

Governors America Corporation is seeking a Full Time Mechanical Assembler/Potter. A Mechanical Assembler performs repetitive bench or line assembly operations to mass-produce products such as electronic case assemblies, actuator final and subassemblies performing the following duties. Shows proficiency in some but not all of the products and processes that are being produced within the department. A Potter encapsulates electrical parts, mechanical parts, electronic parts, components, and assemblies with epoxy, plastic, and other protective coating material by performing the following duties.
Major Responsibilities are:
Assemble parts in specified relationship to each other. Prepare wire leads, terminal and connectors. Performs visual inspection and/or test on assembled components. Bolts, clips, screws, or otherwise fastens parts together. Operates hydraulic presses and other mechanical assembly aids. Works at different work stations as production needs require. Perform other functions including packing finished product and assembly of product kits. Works on different models of actuators and/or cases.
Potting:
Weighs and mixes encapsulating material, following prescribed formula. Operate potting equipment in either auto or manual modes including all startup and shutdown procedures. Positions actuator under outlet of potting fluid tank and moves controls to force preset amount of fluid from tank into the actuator housing/casing. Fills housing/casting with fluid to specified surface levels. Assemble components into housing/casting and pours encapsulating fluid into mold to surround component. Prepare housing/castings for potting operation and remove potting fixtures after cure time. Inspects potted product for defects. Perform other assembly duties as outlined in Mechanical Assembler job description, including assembly of coils and armatures.
