POSITION SUMMARY

Fits and assembles electrical and mechanical components according to assembly blueprints, schematics and diagrams and other technical means. Knowledge of machine construction to construct, rebuild, repair machines and equipment, using hand tools and power tools.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Lays out and installs components and wires electrical enclosure panels and machines per schematics, diagrams and other technical means. Aligns mechanical components for assembly. Verifies alignment and tolerances of moving parts. Tests operations of assemblies. Assembles, sets up and may operate machine for runoff (mainly as it relates to electrical aspects). Lays out hole locations and drills and taps holes for assembly Uses precise measuring tools for both mechanical and electrical items. Determines cause of malfunctions. Communicate with machine designers regarding concept, prints and specifications

REQUIREMENTS

Ability to read and accurately follow blueprints, schematics and related guidelines Electrical/Mechanical assembly experience and knowledge Knowledge and experience with various hand tools for both mechanical and electrical items Ability to use micrometers, multimeters and similar items Good hand - eye coordination Manual dexterity Mechanical aptitude Ability to lift up to, and possibly exceeding, 50 lbs. Must be able to work on feet all day while bending, lifting, and crouching Auto mechanic experience is a plus Must be able to arrive at work before 8AM daily Ability to operate a fork truck a plus Ability to pass Drug test and Background check Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in English Must be able to work overtime and weekends as work load dictates
