Mechanical Assembler Job Description This role focuses on assembling complete paint robots from subassemblies, ensuring each unit meets precise mechanical and quality specifications before shipment You will read and interpret blueprints and assembly instructions, use a variety of hand and power tools, and perform detailed quality checks to verify that every component is assembled correctly Job Responsibilities Assemble complete paint robots from subassemblies, ensuring all components meet required specifications before release to shipping Read, interpret, and decipher blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions to determine assembly requirements and sequence of operations Prepare work by reviewing parts lists and gathering required parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials prior to starting each job Position parts and subassemblies accurately by using templates, jigs, or precise measurement Use hand tools and power tools such as wrenches, ratchets, torque wrenches, screwdrivers, and impact drills to assemble and fasten parts and subassemblies Apply Loctite and other specified materials correctly during assembly to ensure secure and reliable connections Proven mechanical aptitude, such as experience as a car mechanic, backyard mechanic, or in industrial machine assembly or repair Ability to read and interpret blueprints and assembly drawings accurately Proficiency using basic hand and power tools, including impact drills, ratchets, hammers, Allen wrenches, screwdrivers, and related tools Experience using a torque wrench to achieve specified torque values on fasteners Capability to read measurements and use templates or measuring tools to position parts and subassemblies correctly Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Auburn Hills, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
