Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Machine Operator/Assembler to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating machinery, assembling components, and ensuring quality standards are met in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the production of high-quality products while adhering to strict safety and regulatory guidelines. Position Summary The Machine Operator supports the mission of the organization by operating, maintaining, and monitoring production or processing equipment in a safe and efficient manner. This role helps ensure quality standards are met while contributing to programs and services that support the non-profit's community impact goals. Key Responsibilities Operate machinery (Harris Saddle Binder II) and equipment according to established procedures and safety standards Monitor machine performance and make basic adjustments as needed Inspect products or materials to ensure quality and accuracy Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance on equipment Report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or production issues promptly Maintain accurate production records and documentation Assist with loading, unloading, and organizing materials or supplies Follow workplace safety guidelines and organizational policies Collaborate with team members, volunteers, and supervisors to meet production goals Support the mission and values of the non-profit organization in daily operations Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience preferred Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds Strong attention to detail and reliability Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Skills Forklift certification (if applicable) Experience in warehouse, recycling, packaging, or production environments Commitment to community service and the mission of a non-profit organization Shipping -UPS/Fed Ex Work Environment Warehouse or production facility setting May involve exposure to noise, dust, moving machinery, and varying temperatures Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required Compensation & Benefits Hourly wage based on experience Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, retirement plans Equal Opportunity Statement National Child Safety Council is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and volunteers.
