Mechanical Assembler 1st Shift $22-23/hr What You'll Do Read and interpret engineering drawings to determine materials and dimensions Configure parts for proper fitment and fasten components using bolts, glue, screws, and other methods Fabricate components based on specifications, schematics, and verbal instruction Operate machines and hand/power tools required for assembly Test-fit components prior to modifying parts Measure, cut, and assemble plumbing materials (PVC, stainless steel, copper, galvanized) Essential Skills PVC and pipe-fitting proficiency Ability to read and interpret blueprints Skilled with hand and power tools (drills, wrenches, saws, screwdrivers, etc.) Experience in mechanical assembly or construction Ability to use a tape measure accurately (inches and centimeters) 6 months-1+ year experience using basic tools and performing mechanical tasks Why You'll Love Working Here Work for a stable, recession-proof company serving multiple industries Project-based environment—work varies week to week Air‑conditioned, clean, and organized shop Collaborative, team-focused atmosphere where your input matters Flexibility and strong work‑life balance culture Positive environment with a team that genuinely enjoys their work Snacks and drinks allowed if they don't interfere with tasks Once trained, you may use earbuds or speakers Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chaska, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
