Job Summary:
The Hardware Operator is responsible for installing clinch fasteners and other hardware components into fabricated sheet metal using hardware insertion equipment. This role ensures the accurate, repeatable, and efficient installation of fasteners to engineering specifications.
Essential Duties:
Operate hardware presses to install a variety of clinch fasteners into sheet metal components Configure and adjust bowl feeders to optimize feed rates, minimize handling, and maintain consistent insertion cycles Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to confirm fastener type, placement, and orientation Inspect and validate installations to meet dimensional, mechanical, and repeatability requirements, reporting nonconformance to quality and/or supervisors as needed Maintain machine reliability through setup, adjustment, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area, following safety policies without exception Assist with other duties as assigned with fabrication and assembly processes
Minimum Qualifications:
Prior experience with hardware insertion equipment is preferred. 4:45 AM - 3:15 PM Monday through Thursday
