Job Title:
Mechanical Assembler - 1st Shift | Weekly Pay Job Description This 1st shift role involves assembling and inspecting mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment. You will work from electronic documentation, including job order logs, work instructions, prints, packing lists, and sales orders, while following established quality standards. The position requires consistent attention to detail, safe work practices, and collaboration with team members to support continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Assemble and inspect mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies according to electronic drawings, job order logs, and work instructions. Use hand tools, power tools, and fixtures to assemble products accurately and safely. Prepare parts as needed by sanding, cutting, drilling, painting, or performing other basic fabrication tasks. Work at different workstations within the assigned product line and support cross-training within multiple assembly cells. Perform daily cycle counts and help maintain accurate inventory for assigned areas. Continuously look for and suggest product and process improvements that meet or exceed customer requirements and comply with
ISO 9001
2015 policies. Support Lean manufacturing initiatives, including participation in Kaizen events and 5S activities. Keep supervisors and cell leads informed of job-related issues, improvement ideas, and other relevant information, including contributions to the Kaizen newspaper. Maintain a positive and respectful work atmosphere by communicating and collaborating effectively with coworkers, vendors, and leadership. Keep the work area clean, organized, and in a neat and orderly condition. Follow safe work practices, ensure processes are ergonomically sound, and comply with OSHA requirements. Report all safety concerns promptly to a lead, supervisor, or safety committee member. Operate computers, tablets, and other electronic devices to access documentation and record work. Lift, push, and pull moderate weights as required to complete assembly tasks. Perform related duties as assigned to support production and team goals. Essential Skills Approximately 6 months of assembly experience is preferred in a production or manufacturing environment. Ability to read and follow English work instructions, prints, and electronic documentation. Ability to accurately perform required English documentation and recordkeeping. Basic mechanical aptitude with experience using hand and power tools. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to working in different workstations and cells. Strong attendance and punctuality, with reliability to support production schedules. Ability to interpret and work from blueprints and work instructions for mechanical assemblies. Capability to lift, push, and pull moderate weights safely during the shift. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with production assembly or mechanical assembly in a manufacturing setting. Familiarity with sub-assembly processes and working with multiple components. Comfort using basic tools such as drills, sanders, cutters, and other hand and power tools. Exposure to Lean manufacturing concepts, including Kaizen events and 5S practices. Experience working within

2015 quality systems or similar quality-focused environments. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, cell-based production environment. Work Environment This role is based in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility that produces commercial humidifiers and steam equipment used to add moisture to indoor air. Assemblers work within three primary production cells and receive cross-training to move between different areas as needed. The environment emphasizes safety, ergonomics, and adherence to OSHA standards, with well-maintained workstations and organized production areas. You will regularly use hand and power tools, fixtures, computers, and tablets to complete assembly tasks and access electronic documentation. The position is on 1st shift, working 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with overtime on Fridays typically as a half day. The dress code is casual and practical for a manufacturing setting; employees may wear casual clothing that is not overly loose, and shorts are permitted in the assembly department as long as they are at least knee-length. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
