Job Title:
Mechanical Assembler - 1st shift 5am-3:30pm M-Th 4x10s - $22-26/hr DOE Job Description The Mechanical Assembler assembles metal components into completed products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will work at an individual assembly station, using hand and power tools to build the same product throughout the shift while maintaining a steady production rate of approximately one assembly every 2.5 minutes. You follow detailed work instructions or blueprints, ensure accuracy and quality, and perform frequent lifting of assemblies weighing 30-35 lbs. This role suits someone who is comfortable with repetitive work, has strong attention to detail, and can stand for long periods while consistently producing high-quality work and following safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Assemble metal components into completed products at an individual assembly station. Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to build assemblies. Follow work instructions, blueprints, and assembly procedures with high accuracy. Maintain a steady production pace of approximately one assembly every 2.5 minutes. Perform frequent lifting and handling of assemblies weighing 30-35 lbs throughout the shift. Conduct basic quality inspections or self-checks to verify measurements and part accuracy. Meet production goals while consistently maintaining established quality standards. Stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks in a takt-time-driven environment. Apply basic math skills to confirm measurements and verify parts during assembly. Adhere to workplace safety practices and ergonomic guidelines at all times. Accept direction and coaching, and adapt to process or work instruction changes as needed. Collaborate with team members while working independently at your station to support overall production flow. Essential Skills Previous experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or production environment. Proficiency using hand tools and power tools in a mechanical assembly setting. Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort with repetitive mechanical tasks. Ability to maintain a steady production pace, such as completing one assembly approximately every 2.5 minutes. Comfort with frequent lifting of 30-35 lbs and standing for long periods. Attention to detail and ability to consistently produce quality assemblies. Ability to follow work instructions, blueprints, and standardized procedures. Experience working in repetitive, takt-time-driven roles. Basic math skills for measurements and part verification. Familiarity with basic quality inspections or self-check processes. Understanding of workplace safety practices and ergonomics. Reliability, strong work ethic, and consistent attendance.
