Job Description

  • Electro Mechanical Assembler - 2nd Shift
  • Saint Paul, MN 2nd
Shift:
3:30 PM - 12:00 AM $ 21.50/hour PDS Tech Commercial is hiring an experienced
  • Electro Mechanical Assembler
  • to support high-precision electronics manufacturing. In this role, you will assemble, inspect, test, and repair electro-mechanical components used in advanced electronic systems. If you have strong soldering skills, enjoy hands-on technical work, and take pride in quality and accuracy, this could be a great fit.
  • What You'll Do
  • Assembly
  • + Build electro-mechanical assemblies from prints, schematics, and work instructions + Perform soldering on PCBs, solder cups, and small/fragile components + Strip, tin, crimp, twist, and terminate wires and connectors + Set up and operate crimping presses and bench-top equipment + Package finished assemblies and complete job tracking in ERP system
  • Inspection & Testing
  • + Inspect assemblies for quality, fit, and function + Use measuring tools and test equipment to verify specifications + Identify defects, perform rework, and document nonconformances
  • Team Support & Communication
  • + Work independently or as part of a production team + Support and guide junior assemblers when needed + Communicate issues and production status to leads and supervisors
  • Safety & Housekeeping
  • + Follow all safety and quality procedures (ISO standards) + Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • What You Bring
  • Required
  • + High school diploma or equivalent + 2+ years of assembly or manufacturing experience + Strong soldering experience (PCBs, fine components, etc.) + Ability to read prints, schematics, and work instructions + Basic math and measurement skills (fractions, decimals, calipers, micrometers) + Basic computer or ERP system experience + IPC-A-610 or J-STD certification (current or expired acceptable)
  • Preferred
  • + Experience in ISO 9001 or
ISO 13485
environments + Wire harness or connector assembly experience + Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement exposure + Prior experience mentoring or training others
  • Physical Requirements
  • + Frequent use of hands for detailed assembly work + Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move throughout shift + Lift up to 10 lbs regularly, up to 50 lbs occasionally + Good vision for close-up inspection work (including color differentiation)

  • Pay Details:
  • $21.
