Job Description

Machine Builder / Machine Assembler Custom Machinery & Industrial Equipment Skilled Machine Builder with hands‑on experience assembling custom machines from the ground up . Strong experience in interpreting engineering drawings, performing precision mechanical assembly, and troubleshooting complex systems involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components. Known for problem‑solving ability, craftsmanship, and seeing projects through from initial build to fully operational equipment. Core Skills Custom Machine Assembly Blueprint, Drawing & Schematic Interpretation Mechanical Assembly & Alignment Basic Electrical Wiring & Connections Hydraulics & Pneumatics Welding & Fabrication (as required) Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis Mills, Lathes & Saws Hand Tools, Power Tools & Specialty Assembly Equipment Forklift & Material Handling Equipment Crane & Rigging Operations Safety & Quality Compliance Professional Experience Machine Assembler / Machine Builder | Custom Machinery Manufacturing Built custom machines from start to finish , assembling mechanical and electrical components per engineering drawings and assembly documentation Read and interpreted blueprints, schematics, and specifications to ensure accurate builds and proper machine function Performed precision mechanical alignment , installation, and adjustment of components Completed basic electrical wiring and connections to support machine operation Fabricated parts as needed using mills, lathes, saws, and shop equipment Worked with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and welded systems during machine builds Troubleshot assembly and performance issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions Collaborated closely with engineering and production teams to clarify specifications and improve build processes Ensured machines met safety, accuracy, and quality standards prior to completion Operated cranes, forklifts, and material-handling equipment safely in a manufacturing environment Shop & Manufacturing Experience Clean, organized, and safety‑focused manufacturing facility Hands‑on work using cranes, assembly fixtures, and machine shop tools Experience in small, close‑knit teams contributing to full machine builds Comfortable working to production schedules with overtime opportunities Strong adherence to PPE and workplace safety procedures Key Strengths Strong mechanical aptitude with hands‑on problem‑solving skills Highly detail‑oriented with pride in precision workmanship Self‑starter who thrives in custom, non‑repetitive builds Dependable team player with excellent communication skills Adaptable and eager to learn new systems and processes Education & Certifications Technical Degree or Trade Training (Preferred) Forklift Certification (if applicable) Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Saint Paul, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
