Job Description

JL Components, a leading supplier of industrial equipment for pneumatic conveying system and other material conveying processes, is looking to hire a fabricator to work full-time. The fabricator is responsible for assembling, grinding and finishing of different types of fabricated metal products. Welding is a plus but not required.
Essential Functions:
Assemble, install, align, adjust and fit a variety of mechanical equipment using drawings and other written instructions. Pull and/or stock parts per a bill of material. Clean and inspect equipment prior to shipping. Work with close tolerances and fits to meet engineering and operating requirements. Properly complete all paperwork in an accurate and efficient manner for packing lists and load sheets. Ensure timely completion of projects by working with the Shipping Coordinator. Willingness to be cross-trained and work in areas outside of direct responsibility when needed. Ability to learn/use bandsaw, brake, roll, and shear in a safe manner. Must be dependable, accurate, customer oriented, and possess a strong work ethic. Responsible for keeping work area clean, organized and safe. Skill in operating various heavy equipment including forklift and crane preferred. Welding experience and ability is desirable.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required. Experience in a manufacturing environment. Applicant must have a reliable means of transportation to and from the facility. Knowledge of and the ability to use a variety of basic hand tools and power tools such as grinders, drills and other powered equipment such as hoists and cranes. The ability to see details (e.g., letters, numbers, codes, color, symbols, marks, labels, signs) clearly to accomplish work tasks in a safe and efficient manner and possessing strong hand-eye coordination. Ability to use tape measure, specifically measurements withing 1/16" Ability to work well and communicate with others. Basic understanding of an assembly production environment. Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs, bend & kneel.
