Machine Operator/Assembler

Overview This position may require a combination of one or all of the following: The Rewinder is responsible for rewinding labels to specific customer instructions on a roll ready for shipping. The Catcher is responsible to gather printed sheets, add chipboard and stack on cart to specific customer instructions ready for shrink-wrap. The Shrink wrapper is responsible to double check customer instructions, shrink-wrap material and box per specific customer instructions. Responsibilities Review and interpret job jackets and work instructions to ensure accurate production setup and execution Set up and operate rewind tables and slitter machines to meet customer specifications, including counts and dimensions Monitor product quality during operation, identifying and correcting defects such as misprints, wrinkles, or registration issues Remove defective labels and perform splicing to maintain continuous production flow Inspect finished rolls to ensure they meet all quality and customer requirements Accurately cut, count, and rewind labels on high-speed equipment to precise specifications Ensure correct materials (chipboard, cores, etc.) are selected and used based on job requirements Package finished products, ensuring correct labeling and preventing mix-ups in boxing Operate auxiliary equipment such as shrink wrap machines and assist with boxing as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and customer-specific requirements Experience Previous factory/manufacturing facility experience highly preferred Familiarity with assembly processes Mechanical knowledge or background in operating manufacturing equipment is advantageous Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow precise instructions Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 pounds safely, and work in a fast-paced environment This role is designed for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in manufacturing while contributing to a collaborative team.
